Function Bike's gone international with kits shipped to Germany, Spain, France, Korea, and now Oz! From the looks of the photos, FNB customer Evan Williams has some pretty rad trails to ride on the other side of the globe.
After sampling the Function Bike's Fox 40 Full kit on the trails shown here, Evan had this to say:
The crowns are working very well. Have found them to be far superior to the standard fox crowns. Noticeably stiffer and everything stays nice and tight. They've been pretty flawless to be honest. Ive been spreading the word, and passing on your details to any interested parties at the races over here.
Evan - thanks for the props and we hope to see alot more riders in Australia on the kits this race season! Evan sent these photos along and we just couldn't keep them all to ourselves... Enjoy!

Jason and the guys over at SickLines.com pulled together a race-tested, yet simple frame and some really trick parts to build this sweet, sweet DH rig. Best of all, they detailed the entire build (as usual) so you can see exactly how they did it! If you haven't checked out his site before, then you're missing out on some very thorough reviews of some of the best frames and components on the DH and freeride market. Naturally, they'd be testing the FNB crowns and found them worthy of being a highlight piece on this Morewood Izimu build.
Here's what they had to say about our Fox 40 complete kit:
Function Inertia Crowns were easy to bolt up and give the overall chassis a burly look. The direct mount stem is adjustable between 45mm or 55mm and has a solid feel. The CNC’ed plates look great. Be on a look out on our main page in the future to see a more complete review on these.

Check out some of the photos from the build:

Out on newsstands now! Go pick up a copy of December's MTB Action and check out page 134 (yeah... I know it's towards the back of the mag). The nice editors over at MTB Action did put us at the top of the list though! The Inertia Project Race Crowns make for a great Christmas gift for any downhill enthusiast as they prepare their rig for the coming season and dream up new ways of making the bike lighter, stronger, and faster...
Look out for a full review in an upcoming edition of the mag!

So... not only was our local Mt. Ashland Super-D mentioned in the top 8 races to do before you die, but Decline Magazine's Collector Nov./Dec. issue also featured the Function Bikes Inertia Project Race Crowns in the "garage" section on pg.210. It's a rad mag, so go buy it and check it out!

Bummer that they photographed the kit using a "Made in Taiwan" box as the backdrop 'cause everyone knows FNB parts are made right here in Oregon! We'll cut them some slack this time around...
Keep your eye out for a full review of the Fox 40 Full Kit in a future edition of Decline... |
